Abstract: Culture is the soul of a country and a nation. Culture invigorates the country, and culture strengthens the nation. 武效记,笔名春木,男,1942年生,山西省临汾市汾西县人。大专学历,退休教师,汾西县六、七、八届政协委员。现为中国文化艺术研究会副主席、上海江河书画院副院长、北京写作学会书画研究院副院长、中国老年书画家协会会员、山西工艺美术家协会会员、临汾市书协会员、汾西县书协会名誉会长、国家一级书法师、央视书画频道签约艺术家、中国商业股份制企业经济联合会艺术投资专业委员会武效记工作室、中国东方文化研究会社会艺术专业委员会书法研究员、书画英才文化艺术研究中心副主任。
从小热爱书法,七岁学书,至今七十余载,积年累月,笔耕不辍。初学欧体,后涉诸体,真草隶篆,渐臻佳境,尤善魏碑。在退休后的十余年中,专事书法学习与研究,拓宽视野提高境界,使自己在学书的道路上得到长足的进步。同时也形成自己的独特风格。2001年参加中国书法家协会培训中心研修班学习,得到书法名家张有清、温彦国诸老师的指教,受益匪浅,技艺得到进一步的提升。尤其是学魏书,借鉴了历史名碑张黑女碑及历代名家赵铁山、郭伯英等人雄浑遒健之风骨,书艺大长。多年来积极参与各种书法赛事,屡屡获奖。
2005年作品入选“中国电影百年书画大展”,并赴德国、法国巡展。2005年纪念抗日战争胜利六十周年“夕阳红全国老年书画大赛”作品获二等奖。
2006年,中国美术家协会《美术》杂志社为指导,由中国文联书画艺术交流中心,河南省政协办公厅为主办单位,郑州市政协,河南省美术家协会共同举办的《第五届海峡两岸书画大展》,本人书法作品四条屏荣获佳作奖,扇面荣获创新奖。
同年由全国老年书画展组委会举办的《庆祝中华人民共和国六十周年》全国老年书画展,作品荣获优秀奖。
2008年由中国法画报社及国际美术家协会多家单位举办的《世界华人庆奥运名家书画大展》。作品入展并在世界多个国家巡展。
2010年,全国书画大赛评委会举办《纪念中国人民志愿军抗美援朝六十周年全国书画大赛》作品荣获金奖。
2015年,作品入编《中国书画五百强》,并授予2015年十大年度人物荣誉称号。被聘为中国书画信息网首席顾问。
2019年,由中央电视台影视基地举办的2019年国际中国公益事业大典,被授予《2018年中国当代书法十大领军人物》荣誉称号。

Wu Xiaoji, pen name Chunmu, male, born in 1942, from Fenxi County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. College degree, retired teacher, member of the 6th, 7th, and 8th Political Consultative Conference of Fenxi County. I am currently the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Culture and Art Research Association, Vice President of the Shanghai Jianghe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of the Beijing Writing Society, Member of the Chinese Elderly Calligraphers and Painters Association, Member of the Shanxi Craft Artists Association, Member of the Linfen Calligraphy Association, Honorary President of the Fenxi County Calligraphy Association, National First Class Calligraphy Master, Signed Artist of the CCTV Calligraphy and Painting Channel, Wu Xiaoji Studio of the Art Investment Professional Committee of the China Commercial Joint Stock Enterprise Economic Federation, Calligraphy Researcher of the Social Art Professional Committee of the China Oriental Culture Research Association, and Deputy Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Talent Culture and Art Research Center.
I have had a passion for calligraphy since I was young, and at the age of seven, I have been studying it for over seventy years. Over the years, I have been working tirelessly with my pen. I started learning European style and later delved into various styles, such as true grass, seal script, and gradually reached a better state, especially skilled in Wei steles. In the more than ten years after retirement, I devoted myself to learning and researching calligraphy, broadening my horizons and improving my horizons, which enabled me to make significant progress on the path of learning calligraphy. At the same time, it also forms its own unique style. In 2001, I participated in the training center of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and received guidance from calligraphy masters Zhang Youqing and Wen Yanguo. I benefited greatly and my skills were further improved. Especially in studying the Book of Wei, I drew inspiration from the historical stele Zhang Heinu Stele and the powerful and vigorous style of famous calligraphers such as Zhao Tieshan and Guo Boying throughout history, and my calligraphy skills were greatly enhanced. Over the years, I have actively participated in various calligraphy competitions and have won numerous awards.
In 2005, the work was selected for the "Chinese Film Centennial Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" and exhibited in Germany and France.
The works of the "Sunset Red National Elderly Painting and Calligraphy Competition" commemorating the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Anti Japanese War in 2005 won the second prize.
In 2006, under the guidance of the "Fine Arts" magazine of the China Artists Association, the "Fifth Cross Strait Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" was jointly organized by the Calligraphy and Painting Art Exchange Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Office of the Henan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, the Zhengzhou Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and the Henan Artists Association. My calligraphy works won the Excellence Award for four screens and the Innovation Award for fans.
The National Elderly Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition "Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China" was held by the organizing committee of the National Elderly Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in the same year, and the works won the Excellence Award.
The "World Chinese Olympic Masters Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" was held in 2008 by multiple units of the China Legal Painting Newspaper and the International Artists Association. The work has been exhibited and toured in multiple countries around the world.
In 2010, the jury of the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition held the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition to Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, which won the gold medal.
In 2015, the work was included in the "Top 500 Chinese Calligraphers and Painters" and awarded the title of "Top Ten Annual Figures of 2015". Appointed as the Chief Consultant of China Calligraphy and Painting Information Network.
In 2019, the 2019 International Chinese Public Welfare Ceremony held by the CCTV Film and Television Base was awarded the honorary title of "Top Ten Leading Figures in Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy in 2018".
In Mr. Wu Xiaoji's calligraphy works, we can see his profound understanding and exquisite grasp of Chinese characters. His calligraphy works not only focus on form and technique, but also on the inner charm and spirit. His brushwork is agile and natural, smooth and free spirited, giving people a sense of aesthetic enjoyment. Profound traditional foundation: Mr. Wu Xiaoji's calligraphy has a profound traditional foundation, and he has in-depth research and understanding of ancient inscriptions. Unique artistic style: Mr. Wu Xiaoji's calligraphy style is unique. Based on the Wei stele, he drew inspiration from historical steles and the style of famous artists throughout history, forming his own powerful and majestic artistic style.
